Another year has passed, it went by before we even noticed it.

One year ago the global crisis was felt already everywhere , only nobody knew how hard it will hit Poland and especially our companies. Many of us got serious problems, one more than another, but everyone of us felt it or is still feeling it. Transport was less needed, production slowed down, payments were delayed, cash flow problems showed up, it was all there.

But was it only negative?! Of course not. Many of you respond very quickly to this situation. And it was not only a matter of cutting costs. Some got very innovative, they changed processes within the company in order to come out stronger than before, if the market starts to improve. They developed a new ambition in a difficult marked.

Some of them did that so good, that within one year, they had the result they wanted. Of course these are exceptions but it shows what can happen if you are capable to mobilize your staff in this new ambition.

As for Business club,

It was a reasonable year.

One year ago the structure changed. We started with Golden, Silver and Bronze sponsors to finance the club in advance. We also created an Advisory board with representatives from the Golden sponsors and a few board members.

However, we have to do better this year. It is a process we have to go through.

The ambitions of the Club are still clear:

To facilitate networking between entrepreneurs and organizations in Wielkopolska.
To serve as a Dutch Social Club in Wielkopolska , for which we are organizing separate meetings as f.a. we had the great Sinterklaas party in December.
And to fulfill the role of active moderator between institutions or organizations ( as the Dutch Embassy, Chamber of Commerce ) on the one hand and the Dutch community in Wielkopolska on the other.

It is great to see more communication between our members.They meet, and need each other much more than before.

They exchange information to learn from each other, and that proves that there is still a need for this platform that our club is.

We wish very happy 2010. Privately, for you and you families a quiet and loving full year and businesswise a lot of success, may your companies find the right way to get through this tough times.
